Glass sculptures at the rector’s charity auction
Glass sculptures by Tomasz and Konrad Urbanowicz were auctioned off at the 20th charity auction of the Rector of Wrocław University of Technology
We are proud and happy that our glass sculptures entitled “PhD Candidate” and “Professor” found their place and, thanks to generous donors, contributed to the collection of over 275.000 PLN for students of the Wrocław University of Technology from Ukraine. The work of the “Professor” was a gift from the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology, professor Barbara Gronostajska, while the work “PhD Candidate” was donated to the auction directly by Tomasz Urbanowicz.
In Solidarity with Ukraine
The event took place on February 28 in the auditorium of the main building in relation to the dramatic events in Ukraine and replaced the traditional Charity Ball of the Wrocław University of Technology. 26 items were put up for auction. We are glad that our sculptures “Professor” and “PhD Candidate” together with the painting by Wacław Sporski “The Birth of Civilization” reached the highest figures:
